Meet The Team

Licensed Therapist, Founder & CEO
Rich Evans
Rich founded Green Leaf Counseling & Coaching after a career in retail and financial leadership — bringing a rare blend of business savvy and clinical expertise to everything he does. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, he works with clients aged 12 and up on a wide range of concerns, with particular expertise in vocational discernment, clergy coaching, and management coaching. Under his leadership, Green Leaf has grown from a solo practice into a thriving multi-clinician team. Rich also regularly leads workshops for church professionals, infusing each with compassion, strategic vision, and a genuine commitment to empowering others.

Licensed Therapist
Halie Hemmerle
Halie's path to therapy started in foster care, where she developed a deep commitment to trauma-informed, compassionate support for children and families. She holds a BSW (2020) and MSW (2024) from Western Kentucky University and specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families navigating trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Halie co-developed the Parent Circle workshop to help caregivers show up with more confidence, and she mentors the next generation of social workers as a field supervisor for WKU students. Outside the office, she recharges with a good book, baking, and her love of '60s and '70s music.

Client Experience Manager
Lauren Adkins
Lauren brings a unique perspective to mental health care — after earning her BS in Occupational Health & Safety and spending years as a safety consultant in heavy-civil construction, she made a deliberate move toward work centered on people and wellbeing. At Green Leaf, she oversees day-to-day operations and ensures every client interaction — from your first call to your ongoing care — feels warm, smooth, and supported. When she's not in the office, you'll find her hiking, kayaking, or out on the trails as a former ultra-trail half-marathoner.
